I received this email from Bill Harris and I wanted to pass on this
information because I believe that diabetes is out of control and it is
because people are not educated about how they can take responsibility for
creating healthy blood sugar.
Please pass this on and let’s spread an abundance of intention for a healthy 2010
To your health and well-Being!
Marilyn
If you’re concerned about your blood sugar, you need to
know that a new research report from my friend Layne
Lowery, President of Health Resources now proves
conventional blood sugar solutions could be putting your
health at great risk.
1. Conventional wisdom says if you’re not having
symptoms, your blood sugar problems are not such
a big deal, they’re wrong!
Foggy thinking, memory lapses, low energy levels,
kidney problems and high blood pressure and cholesterol
levels are just a few of the symptoms you might not be
attributing to unbalanced blood sugar… but should be.
2. Conventional wisdom says low-fat dieting can control your
blood sugar. Wrong again!
Fat is not the cause of America’s epidemic of insulin
resistance, sugar is and most people are in the dark about
it. The average American consumes roughly 32 teaspoons
of sugar each day, much of it hidden in the processed foods
we eat. Ingesting too much sugar is acid-forming and wrecks
havoc on your health leading to unbalanced blood sugar.
3. Conventional wisdom says natural solutions won’t work
for blood sugar. Wrong, dead wrong!
The pharmaceutical companies have plenty of drugs to help
you deal with blood sugar imbalances. The trouble is… the
side effects of some of these drugs can be WORSE than the
disease they’re supposed to treat!
For example, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
recently mandated the use of a “black box” warning on the
diabetes drug Avandia.
This strong warning label emphasizes the drug, “may cause
or worsen heart failure in certain patients.”
Despite this disturbing admission, an agency advisory panel
voted 22 to 1 in favor of allowing continued sales to U.S. patients!
But here’s some good news. You can balance your blood
sugar naturally, simply by using nutrients straight from Mother
Nature’s pharmacy.
Nature’s Premium Nutrients for Healthy Blood Sugar
It might seem hard to imagine that a few herbs can help you
win the battle of blood sugar imbalances–but it’s TRUE!
Let’s examine each of these super nutrients individually…
Gymnema Sylvestre
For more than 2,000 years, people in India have used the
herb Gymnema sylvestre to help control blood sugar. In fact,
the leaves of this climbing plant are prized by practitioners of
Ayurvedic medicine–the holistic system of healing developed
in India and practiced by the renowned doctor Deepak Chopra.
The herb is also called “gurmar,” which literally means “destroyer
of sugar” in Hindi. This name describes the way that chewing the
leaves interferes with your ability to taste sweetness. Because
this amazing herb decreases the sensation of sweetness in many
foods, this may reduce your cravings for sugary snacks.
Chromium
Another weapon in nature’s arsenal of sugar fighters is the
mineral chromium. Chromium aids in digestion and helps
move blood glucose from the bloodstream into the cells for
energy. It also helps turn fats, carbohydrates, and proteins
into energy.
What’s more, chromium is critical for healthy insulin function.
Without enough chromium in your body, insulin just doesn’t
work properly.
Chromium exists in many foods, but research shows that 90%
of American adults have a chromium deficient diet! This could
be a key reason why an increasing number of Americans suffer
blood sugar problems.
Cinnamon
Believe it or not–your kitchen probably already contains a
key ingredient to help you control unhealthy blood sugar levels.
Recent scientific discoveries prove that the commonly used
spice helps regulate blood sugar in ways previously unknown.
Scientists at the Maryland-based Human Nutrition Research
Center were studying the effects of common foods on blood
sugar. Dr. Richard Anderson, lead scientist and chemist,
noticed that when patients ate apple pie…their blood sugar
levels actually IMPROVED!
Further investigation revealed it was the CINNAMON in
the apple pie–that helped their blood sugar levels.
Researchers discovered that cinnamon actually increases
your glucose metabolism. It contains a compound called
methyhydroxy chalcone polymer–or MHCP for short–that
works with insulin to help process glucose.
Banaba Leaf Extract
Traditionally, people living in the Philippines, South Asia, and
India have brewed a banaba leaf tea to help regulate blood sugar.
Medical scientists believe that banaba leaf’s beneficial effects
on blood sugar are due to its high concentration of corosolic
acid, a natural compound extracted from its leaves.
Corosolic acid mimics insulin by moving sugar out of your
bloodstream and into your cells. And numerous scientific
studies have proven banaba leaf’s effectiveness.
Fenugreek
Modern science is shedding new light on another traditional
folk remedy which delivers excellent health benefits.
Fenugreek is an herb native to the Mediterranean, Ukraine,
India, and China.
Practitioners of Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine
have used the herb for more than 2,000 years. Modern
scientists now know fenugreek helps balance your
cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood glucose.
Fenugreek seed stimulates insulin release. This helps food
sugars reach your cells properly.
BitterMelon
Although it may be unknown to most people in the West–bitter
melon has long been used in South America, the Caribbean,
East Africa, and the Orient as both food and a natural medicine.
And scientific studies prove its value for treating blood sugar
problems.
Studies have show bitter melon could play a key role in
helping to balance insulin in your body and had positive effects
on the serum glucose levels of those taking it–which of course
means healthy blood sugar control.
So if you’ve resigned yourself to a life filled by downing daily
prescription medications, jabbing yourself with insulin, and
praying that you don’t succumb to kidney failure or a brain
disaster…
I want to introduce you to a powerful new natural breakthrough
for balancing your blood sugar that’s bigger than the discovery
of insulin…
A natural formula so powerful it has folks just like you singing
its praises:
“Once I started using this, it started lowering my blood sugar
after 15 years of problems.”
–Ramona W., Missouri
“My fasting blood sugar went from 108 to 83 within two
months of regular use. My doctor was amazed.”
–Natalie S., California
“After taking three bottles and having my blood checked, my
doctor said, ‘whatever you’re doing for your blood, keep it up.’
It’s the best it’s been in years.”
–Carolyn D., Florida
“I’ve been on this for over three weeks, and my blood sugar
has dropped to 75-175. I am very pleased.”
–Elmer S, Ohio
Imagine a single natural life-saving supplement that can help…
? Balance your blood sugar
? Control insulin and help your body use it more effectively
? Keep you cholesterol healthy
? Boost your immunity
? Support healthy weight loss
? Eliminate sugar spikes
? Protect your kidneys
? Banish tired, sluggish feelings
? Reduce sugar and food cravings
? Plus, dozens more benefits!

In the Law of Attraction, what you put most of your attention on you create in your life! I want to point out to you why a lot of people get results they don’t want instead of the outcome they desire. It is a subtle difference that can change your life today!
There is a very powerful difference between the results you get focusing on what you are missing in some area of your life instead of focusing on what you desire. Each put attention on something you want yet the results are very different.
Let me give you an example. I have been using hormone replacement for 7 months trying to come up with the right dosage of hormones, so I won’t have break through bleeding. It has been very trying physically and emotionally for me.
I noticed that what I have been putting my attention on was the hormones not working for me the way I was wanting them to as I questioned the health benefits rather than putting my attention on my desired outcome being physically and mentally healthy.
The difference of focus seems slight, yet creates two powerfully different outcomes.
The first perspective is looking at all the ways I am being inconvenienced and feeding health fears; like sporadic bleeding, worrying about health issues of cancers associated with imbalanced hormones, trying to fix the problem, thinking what is wrong with me…
The second perspective focuses on the results I desire; a balanced highly functioning hormonal system that supports my healthy mind and body.
Now, we know that what you put your attention on expands and grows. Your thoughts, beliefs and actions becomes your reality.
So, if I keep putting my attention on the first perspective, I am going to keep getting the inconvenience and dysfunction of my hormones feeding the worry about my health. I am giving the cells in my body the message to be out of balance and unhealthy. I am looking for it, and we always make ourselves right. Over time, I am fulfilling what I put my attention on, my worst nightmare!
Very different result than what I really desire.
What I really desire is a strong, sexy, vital and highly functioning body and mind. If I put my attention there that is what I am going to create. It gives my bodies cells and the Universe a very different message from the first perspective creating a completely different result.
So, If you are not getting the results you want in some area of your life, notice where you are putting your focus, on what is missing or what it is that you truly desire.
Are you focused on what you are longing for or for the results of being/having or doing what you long for in your life?
Let me know if this helps or how I can help you better see the differences so you can create what you truly want!
Let’s make your life work for you together!
Infinite Blessings & Abundance Always,
Marilyn

This is The Universe showing up and me doing my job (being conscious).
I woke early this morning and saw from a dream state that one way I wasn’t loving myself or living a lie was I was holding high expectations of who “I” thought I “should” Be, instead of accepting that my being was enough. I thought oh good a big lie to let go of and fell back to sleep.
Waking later I pick up the book Ageless Body, Timeless Mind by Deepak Chopra that I am reading and in the process of reading got a knowing sensation of what my purpose is. Even though I am doing and being what I am passionate about with my Life Coaching, I still felt something wasn’t clear about my purpose.
I have been asking what is my purpose every day while I continue to let go of the untruths I discover about myself. I know that I am not meant to just to get out of bed to pay the bills, it is not to only live my own pleasures, it is not to be only serving others. I know what it is not.
What I do know is that I am to help others and I know it is not just that alone. I just kept thinking it feels like it (my purpose) is something bigger than myself, playful and connected to all.
This morning I got it. I had thought it before but had played it down to be part of something bigger, so I didn’t get it.
MY PURPOSE IS TO BE LOVE! My purpose it to love myself and be a reflection to others who they truly are. My job is to live my life loving myself and everyday encouraging love.
Simple, yet profound. In order to live my purpose I have to BE LOVE. Love is now my focus. Love from the inside out.
Just think about that a minute: Picture what your life would be like if you had unconditional love for yourself. What would you receive in your life that you now push a way thinking you are unworthy of?
What would you put into and on your body? What thoughts would you spend your time focusing on? What would you be creating? It creates a different reality than most of us live.
My purpose is to encourage love to share that love is not out there to be gotten, but is already within waiting for you to receive and open your own heart to your own truth. You are love, loving, lovable and worthy!
4 Steps Deepak recommends for moving towards accepting the statement “I AM LOVE”
1. think about love
recall love in your life, read poetry, watch love stories
2. Talk about love
Express your feelings directly to someone you love, don’t let you love be something taken for granted
3 Seek out love
Intimacy, help someone, give a compliment, thank you and gratitude
4. Encourage love
Give affection, express love, Be it!
Let me know what transpires!

Dear HSPs:
Here come the holidays and the New Year. Give yourself a gift by remembering to do this time of year your way: If you are already doing all you can, don’t expect anything extra of yourself without dropping something else, especially if the holidays are busy for you at work. Plan what you will enjoy, then cut it by half. Don’t buy into the idea that this time of year must be fancy or especially meaningful. It’s stressful enough during the holidays without trying to meet extra cultural expectations. If you can, connect with those who may need you a little more at this time of year–that’s meaning enough. But don’t promise more than you can deliver.
In that spirit, this issue gives you…
When I will be speaking:
My next few speaking engagements will be courses about “The Undervalued Self.” These will be especially helpful for HSPs, I believe, although non-HSPs will be attending as well.
I will also speak at the HSP gathering in California next fall:
Walker Creek Ranch, Petaluma, CA, Sept 2 through 6
Don’t Forget to Gather, Network, and Create/Collaborate
Networking: As announced in the last newsletter, Jacquelyn Strickland has organized a “World Wide Network of HSPs” to help us connect up in several ways. For example, the Network has a home-stay list that brings together HSPs planning a visit or vacation to a certain area with those in that area eager to share their homes and their knowledge of that locale. Another part of her project is to list HSPs wanting to meet others in their area. For full information, go to hspworldnetwork.com
Gatherings: Jacquelyn has planned three more gatherings for next year:
For full information, go to lifeworkshelp.com/hspgathering.htm
Creating and Collaborating: Please do look at the new magazine Tribe, along with its online forum attribe.paramimedia.com . Tribe is a beautiful publication dedicated to bringing together HSPs, displaying their creativity, and encouraging their collaboration and connection. Submit something to them if you like, or comment on what has been submitted in order to determine the final magazine’s content. Or simply read and be inspired.
I hope that the upcoming solstice gives you hope, as the days begin to lengthen again; that if you celebrate the holidays in a religious way, that your rituals deepen your spiritual life; and that the new year brings the right balance of rest and success.

I just listened to a free training by Tony Robbins talking about 3 decisions that will change your life.
3 Decisions that will change your life:
1. Decide what you are going to focus on
Most people let their focus go wherever it is drawn by what shows up in their day, rather than managing it themselves.
Successful people on the other hand decide where they are going to put their attention.
2. Decide what that focus means to you; focus equals feeling
Is it the end of something or the beginning of something new?
The meaning you give it will determine the action you take.
Whatever you focus on you are going to feel. Your focus is your reality!
3. Decide what you are going to do
What actions will you take to get the results that what you want?
This is where we sabotage or trip ourselves up because of old role models
and habits of feeling and thinking. We don’t follow through because we have
fear of failure in some area of our life.
So, you need to redirect your focus and create a new feeling for a new beginning to take an inspired action.
In other words, get out of the rut of your old thinking and behaviors to create something new. Train yourself to manage your mind and focus on leading yourself towards the results you desire with conscious decisions making. Results are not random!
You are the director in your life! You are making decisions all the time, start directing them and see how your life changes. It is not the outside world determining your results...did you get that? The events, circumstances, drama, etc that show up in your life does not determine your reality.
It all comes down to what you choose to think or focus on, feel and the actions you make.
What keeps us from taking new actions, like doing the work of managing our thoughts? Fear of some kind.
I liked how Tony talked about the process of success:
Success comes from good judgments
Good judgments come from personal experience
Experience comes from bad judgments that we learn from
You have to give yourself room to create experiences and learn from them. You will only find that by allowing yourself to focus on new choices, possibilities and opportunities. With that focus decide what it means to you, why it matters and then choose to go for it in spite of the fear you might feel.
Be a leader in your own life!
Here is the recording I listened to by Tony Robbins Breaking Through
Start choosing, this very moment, in favor of the True You, honoring your worthiness, creativity and love!
